Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago-Libertyville by IHG

This Holiday Inn didn't disappoint. The room was clean. And housekeeping came in daily to make the beds and replace towels. The breakfast was super yummy. We came here for my daughter's Bootcamp graduation and got a special Graduation discount, which is awesome. Not dissatisfied one bit.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone! Room was clean, little bit outdated with old TV but if you are not tv person it’s not a problem at all. Beds are comfortable. Desk guys were very kind and professional! New Costa coffee machines were an extra! Coffee was fresh and excellent! Cleaning staff were absolutely nice! Very good breakfast included Big Parking for free Deposit 50 $

This place may be the best Holiday Inn Express at which I have ever stayed. From the moment I entered the hotel until I left, I had nothing but positive experiences. I booked this hotel site unseen by following a link from the U.S. Navy RTC Graduation website. As I was driving from O'Hare to the hotel, the clerk called to verify my reservation and ask if I needed a larger room to accommodate my graduating son. Upon entering the hotel, I was greeted by the same clerk and treated as if I was the most important person at the hotel. The clerk aided in my check-in and provided directions, maps, and special instructions for the Navy graduation occurring the following day. His assistance saved me much time and frustration the next morning. The rooms were clean. The towels were fresh. The free breakfasts were hot and tasty. The coffee machine was always full and ready regardless of when I approached it. I am extremely grateful to the clerk and entire hotel staff for their hospitality and assistance during my stay.

The front desk staff is really friendly. The complimentary breakfast was very good and includes several options. The king sized bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The only thing that needs work is the mattress in the pull out couch. I felt a little bad my daughter had to sleep on something so thin. We appreciated the nice room and the Navy discount for our sailor’s graduation. The location is very convenient to base.

We had a block for a soccer tournament. All in all great stay! August 2025. Front desk all incredible! Kind and quick check in. Everyone we encountered at all time of day provided amazing service. Breakfast was great! Really good food and lots of options. Always full. Lots of tables and even a separate room with more tables. Coffee machine is fresh ground coffee. Delicious and saved my family time and money. Pool was good. It was salt water not chlorine which I actually liked. Temp was perfect and the air temperature was warm so it was very comfortable. Only thing bad was the rinse shower didn’t work. Room itself was meh. 307. A little outdated but clean. Bed comfy and shower hot with good pressure. I liked the shampoo etc in large bottles attached to the wall vs small travel size. Fridge and microwave worked great which doesn’t always happen. Biggest complaint was the ac unit. Blowing on the person sleeping next to it. Husband made a blockade with the desk chair so we could still have ac but not have him feeling like he was in a frozen wind tunnel. Ice machine worked elevator was fast. Pretty good stay for what I’m used to with this level hotel.

This hotel was 100% perfect. Great breakfast, clean rooms, clean pool, respectful. I stayed here for Navy graduation. First time Navy mom they made sure I knew the process on how to travel, get tickets and make sure I was taken care of. They even shuttle your family to and from graduation. Excellent respect to my sailor from staff every time she entered or exited they greeted her with “congratulations” and “thanks for your service” no doubt anytime I’m in Libbertyville I will be staying here.

This was overall a nice place to stay . The surrounding area is convenient for restaurants, stores , Navy Base , mall , etc. We stayed for 4 days .Beds are extremely comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and staff worked hard to keep things nice and stocked . Coffee,tea,and hot cocoa are served all day with a do it yourself machine ,that is amazing on those cold days and nights ! The staff was very nice and helpful ! Initially with all said above we were extremely happy with our stay. Take aways ..... This property / walls are very thin you could hear just about everything outside your door , room above , next room over. So if you are light sleeper probably not the best . ****BEWARE SMOKERS **** If you are a smoker ,and smoke outside like we do just beware we had a charge of $250 for smoking in the room!!!!!! We never stepped foot into that hotel and smoked !! We are absolutely furious to have such a nice 4 days just to end up with $250 charge for something that we have never done!!! We called and they said they have sensors in the room??? That's still does not make any sense since we have never smoked in the room/ hotel!! So when staying at these Hotels put that into consideration Just FYI .

We have stayed at Holiday Inn many times over the years and never been disappointed! We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in libertyville Illinois and stay was great , rooms are clean , breakfast is very good, coffee is amazing and employees are very friendly. Would definitely recommend.
